You can find the latest update on how the current lockdown is affecting us and our suppliers here.
We are continuing to fulfil orders for those customers who, due to current pandemic circumstances, have waited much longer than normal for delivery of their order. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you to our valued customers and distributors that have been patient whilst we were forced to re-design our products. The pandemic unfortunately saw some
of our suppliers close permanently, forcing the change. The new, more compact, version of our 1W transmitter is beginning production, meaning we are able to start
shipping very soon. Ideal for L-RSL use and at drive-in events, it features everything for a complete FM broadcast service, including broadcast audio processor,
stereo encoder, and RDS encoder, in a highly compact 1U product. Integration of traditionally separate products saves enormous cost over buying these items
individually, and ensures broadcast regulatory compliance is 'plug-and-play'. The RDS content can be updated via a USB connection.
We're pleased to announce a new, more compact version of our FM Repeater for Road Tunnel applications. It re-broadcasts an FM station within a tunnel, on the same frequency, and has audio break-in and alarm RDS function for local
tunnel emergency announcements. This is version 4 of the highly popular product, which has been deployed in many countries across Europe and the East since its launch 24 years ago. It now features direct USB programming of the emergency
RDS content, simplifying local customisation for road tunnel integrators. Manufactured in Yorkshire UK by Lucoro and sold under the Lucoro Broadcast and TX Digicast brands.
Please feel free to contact us regarding all technical aspects of your SS-DAB application. With expertise on hand which dates back to the world's very first DAB newtwork roll-out, we are well placed
to assist. Plus, we are the only UK manufacturer of DAB transmitters and program delivery equipment, sold under the Lucoro Broadcast and TX Digicast brands.
We've seen a sharp increase in enquiries for sound broadcast equipment sales and rental for drive-in service applications.
So we put together a short guide here. It also features a link to the relevant
Ofcom information pages (for those planning events in the UK).
We're back from lockdown, albeit on part-time furlough arrangements. Although many industries are returning to normal following the pandemic shutdown, some remain closed, meaning we are currently unable to manufacture some
products. Therefore, we are not currently taking orders for the products affected. We apologise for any inconvenience. Before ordering, please contact us.
As well as working on current FM orders for UK community stations, we're busy building FM Road Tunnel Repeater systems, and DAB transmitters for export customers. Scheduled thereafter, extra production of our FM products will allow us to offer our more popular transmitter models with much shorter lead-times.
The FMTX100M can be used as a high-power exciter for multi-kilowatt systems. It has a multiplex input and very clean RF spectrum, making it a high quality, yet low cost choice, for high power FM broadcast systems. For more infomation, please contact us.
Our FMTX100 is a 125 Watt 'all-in-one' broadcast system; it features a DSP Audio Processor, Digital Stereo Coder and digitally synthesised oversampling RDS coder all integrated in to a single, very compact unit. So now, many smaller stations can afford uncompromised back-up quality, either as a portable spare transmitter - or as a 'B' system integrated in to the system rack (with automatic instant changeover implemented). For more infomation, please contact us.
Thank you to our valued customers and suppliers for their kind patience whilst our premisies were cut off by local access road flooding, following Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis. We appreciate your support.
There is no change for customers purchasing or using our products in the EU after Brexit. Shipping, taxes and borders also remain the same - until at least December 2021.
Recent data from The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and CAP shows cars with DAB radios as standard rose to a record 95% of all new cars. DAB receivers in new commercial vehicles increased to a record level of over 64%. In total, DAB was fitted to 2,150,000 new cars and 232,600 new commercial vehicles in 2019.
A new version of our DSP FM Broadcast 5-band Audio Processor design (an option available on our latest FMTX Series of transmitters) is now in production. The pilot and switching of the audio (stereo subcarrier generation) is now done entirely within DSP for a significant improvement compared to discrete digital 'chopping' of the audio, as used in recent industry practices. Natural bass and stereo enhancement, plus distortion cancelled clipping stages, make the performance of this £200 option comparable with processors costing ten times the price.
Although long out of production, many radio stations still enjoy using this ever-popular transmitter. We still have parts stock and can service these transmitters, for those who don't wish to replace them just yet. Contact us with details of your servicing requirement and we'll do our very best to help! We also still provide an RDS update service and can send you a simple plug-in device, pre-programmed with your desired new content.

The UK's broadcast regulator has announced that it will accept applications for FM power increases from existing stations in the Community Radio tier. Where possible, Ofcom MAY be able to increase the ERP of the existing licence, or consider broadcasters' plans to update antenna systems to better utilise the power granted under their existing licence. We specialise in coverage planning and antenna modelling, plus we have high quality, low cost, powerful FM transmission systems which use the latest circuit technology for efficiency and reliability. Community Radio often relies on restricted revenues. As such, it's vital that we provide the lowest cost route to maximising power and coverage. For more infomation, please contact us.
